For a class assignment I read Top 6 fears about future technology by Kevin Dickinson. I found this article very interesting. But it really reminded me of the pop culture and how they predicted most of the fears in this article. But when it was movies book etc. nobody was afraid. So I looked into what had been predict that has come true.I am reading this article and it made me think of Pop Culture. It talked about the fears of technology today and that made me think of movies and the books I like to read. Like in Back to the Future Marty and Doc experienced modern technology like we have today. They used virtual reality to have experiences that we now use with our phones and other technology so we can go to places as if we are really there and see what it is like to climb Mt Mckinley from our own home.
But the article talks about some of the negatives of artificial intelligence - AI, to consider. The article mentions '"That AI could automate terrorism, mass produce propaganda, and streamline hacking to devastating effects." The author, Kevin Dickson shares thoughts of the fears of the AI world in the future but the future is not so distant. "I'm very close to the cutting-edge of AI, and it scares the hell out of me," Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, said at SXSW 2018. "It is capable of vastly more than anyone knows, and the rate of improvement is exponential. […] We have to figure out some way to ensure that the advent of digital superintelligence is one which is symbiotic with humanity. I think that's the single biggest exponential crisis that we face."' People that are familiar with AI need warn and educated people about the dangers of artificial intelligence.

Do you have concerns about AI? Certainly the movies exaggerate things so that there is a conflict, but is this really something we need to be concerned about?
